Arsenal PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has reportedly “said yes” to the idea of making a shock move to Manchester United.
The 30-year-old Arsenal striker has been linked with a surprise switch to Old Trafford as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
And according to TuttoSport, the Gabonese hitman is open to the idea of leaving the Gunners for their top four rivals.
Aubameyang finished with the Premier League golden boot last season after firing 22 goals.
And today’s report claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes he could make a similar impact for United as Robin van Persie did when he left the Emirates for United in 2012.
Arsenal forked out £54million to Borussia Dortmund for the hotshot 18 months ago.
And after his exploits in front of goal, where he’s scored 41 goals in 65 matches for the Gunners, they would be looking to recoup a similar fee from United.
But any move, however unlikely it may seem, would depend on the future of Lukaku.
Several reports earlier in the week claimed Lukaku was nearing a move to Inter Milan.
The Belgian star’s agent is believed to have held talks with the Serie A giants as attempts to strike a deal mount.
